What is Podiatry and Chiropody?
To be honest, there is no real difference between the two. Podiatry is simply the modern term for a foot specialist. Both are considered as specialists in treating the foot.
A Chiropodist or Podiatrist is a health professional that deals with assessing, diagnosing and treating diseases and pain in the feet, and the lower limb. They are trained to treat, alleviate, prevent and correct conditions to help with rehabilitation, and to keep people mobile, active and healthy.
At Seven Hills Podiatry, Sinead provides treatment and advice for all common foot disorders of the foot and lower limb.
All new patients will need to book an Initial Consultation appointment first.
This is to assess your foot and overall health, discuss any foot problems you may have, and to agree your treatment plan.
Some of the conditions regularly diagnosed, treated and managed include:
- Thickened toe nails | Ingrown toe nails | Infected nails | Calluses
- Verrucas | Corns | Cracked heels | Nail reconstruction
- Diabetic foot health | Athletes foot
- Plantar fasciitis | Heel Pain
